Marvel Realm of Champions
Marvel Realm of Champions was a top down game with the main gameplay mode being a 3v3 PVP capture the point to destroy the other persons base. You could chose between a variety of different Marvel characters and take them into battle, each with different abilities to help your team win. After winning, you would earn resources that you could use to spend in the store get gear or upgrade your existing gear. There were also a few new champions that were released
Store
A lot of effort was put into the balancing and rewards given from the store. I worked with artists and economy to help put together different bundles that could be found in the store. You could buy Champion bundles to unlock a new character and get specific gear for that character or buy gear sets and other items to help rank up your Champion or upgrade your gear.
In the backend there was excel sheet that tracked all of the tuning and rewards for every single item in the game and it was something I learned fully and taught to other people.
Objectives
Objectives was another feature I put a lot of work into. Designing different challenges; working with devs to get specific requirements made to be used, as well as creating rewards to function and display properly. There was a variety of Daily/Weekly challenges, as well as lifetime challenges that you could complete while you would play the game. I also worked on creating specific event challenges that could reward a new hero to play in the game as well as other rewards and balancing those to be enticing to a user without being too difficult and off-putting to complete.
Champions & Gear
Unlocking Champions and collecting gear were the two main aspects of the game aside from the gameplay. You could unlock a variety of different Champions and level them up using resources to get stronger in the game. On top of leveling up your Champions, you would be collecting gear from completing games, challenges and the store to get stronger. Gear had different synergy sets so that some gear pieces could be paired up with other gear pieces to make a stronger build. With that in mind, that was how we monetized Realm of Champions was through leveling resources and different gear that you could collect.
