Events
While working on Tomb Raider reloaded, I was tasked with creating regular events for the game. I worked closely with one of the game designers/economy designers to plan out small and large events to keep the game fresh with new content. We planned out minor events that would rotate on a daily basis to earn different resources in the game to keep users coming back on specific days and we also planned out major events that would last multiple weeks. Along side these events, I crafted different rewards that would be distributed in them and also content that would be available in the store to give the event content visible value. Extensive planning went into the planning and balancing for the rewards and durations of the events then bringing these plans up to Crystal Dynamics to get their approval.
Store
When I first joining Emerald City Games, the store for Tomb Raider Reloaded needed some rebalancing so that was one of the first things I worked on was to balance all of the rewards being sold in the store. I then built up an excel sheet to easily create new bundles of content and plan out future store content. This helped with building new gatcha and bundles of items to be sold. I worked with artists to update art shown in the store to more accurately match content and create new items to sell. A lot of work went into getting the store into an easier area to work in and making it a simpler process for myself or anyone else to easily see what's live or going live.
Summary
During my time on Tomb Raider Reloaded, I compiled and created documentation for the Live Ops processes and built tools using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. The tools I created, helped build and design Gatcha and Events in game to make it easier and quicker for the team to build and visualize content. I also planned out events cooperatively with other designers that I worked with to get a schedule of monthly and weekly events to run in the game.
